A Letter from co-founder Dylan Thompson, 17:
Like you, I’m a typical teenager.
I’m a hockey and streetwear-obsessed kid from a small town in Alberta, Canada, who wears snapbacks and frequents the mall with his friends to check out the latest Nike AF1s drops. I like to cook. And sleep. Definitely sleep. But most of all, I love to shop. Especially for clothes.
I credit my gravitation towards fashion to my exposure to travel at a young age. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel around the world—to places like fashion capitals such as Milan and New York City—with my parents. We were always on the hunt, looking for one-of-a-kind, or memorable, things to bring back to my two older sisters, Pam and Paula. Those experiences provided me with an early understanding that dressing well is a way of finding out about yourself. A rite of passage for very young man.
That sentiment stayed with me and ultimately became the cornerstone of d.RT.
I launched this brand with myself--and you--in mind. I wanted to bottle that knowledge and passion and create a reliable, well-executed clothing resource that would help you cultivate--or refresh--your own style identity before you stumble into manhood.
d.RT is a concise, buildable wardrobe that can extend seamlessly from casual to dressy, and is built to be worn and reworn (and reworn)--just the way you need it to be. No gimmicks. No exaggeratedly dropped crotches. Just dope product with polished vibes.
Best of all: no tailoring required.
